Project Description

Moon Jaden L. Yutuc

January 09 2012 – September 19 2013

On January 09, 2012, a brave little soul was given to us and we named her Moon Jaden. The moment I saw her in the neonatal ward, I felt something, I felt connected to her for the rest of my life. I promised myself that this little girl will be so proud of me someday as I will pave and reconstruct all the roads she’ll be going through in her life.

On August 18 2013, after more than a year of battling with her serious form epilepsy (Dravet Syndrome), she had a status that lasted over 2 hours and even after rushing her to the E.R. the doctors couldn’t do anything to control it. She was comatose since then and after 32 days, she earned her shiny, angel wings already. She passed away at age of 1 year 8 months.

Moon Jaden was an amazing kid. She brought people together, she brought closeness to our family and friends. From the very start, I knew this kid was special, I knew her purpose in life will be this beautiful. Job well done, sweetheart. I am so proud of you. Mission Accomplished! Fly sweet angel, fly and enjoy chasing butterflies in heaven.

As her dad, I will never look at the Moon the same thing again. Every time I see the brightest star sparkling, I know she’s the one up there telling us “Don’t worry mom and dad, I am doing great here.”
