Each fall, DSF typically hosts five Day of Dravet regional workshops across the U.S. to bring our community together in person to learn about the latest in Dravet syndrome, connect with one another, and be a part of a DSF’s shared vision for better options and outcomes for affected individuals and their families.

This year, our workshops will be reimagined as five virtual events each Saturday in October, beginning at 12pm ET. Sessions will focus on daily living and caregiver concerns. Sibs can join fun 90-minute breakout sessions each week. Join us for any and all sessions that are of interest to you!

Our workshops on Saturday, October 2nd, 9th, and 16th, are a three part series that will teach the Brain First Parenting approach. These sessions will be led by Eileen Devine, LCSW, a neurobehavioral support coach for parents. Eileen Devine is a therapist, neurobehavioral consultant, and mother to a child with a neurobehavioral disability that has challenging behavioral symptoms. Through the workshop, you will learn the neurobehavioral model of parenting and how to apply it immediately to your parenting. There are accompanying handouts/exercises for each session.

Our workshop on Saturday, October 23, will focus on sessions that will be helpful for families who have an adult patient with the diagnosis of Dravet syndrome. Learn about topics surrounding transition and future planning. Sessions are presented by community experts – including other parents.

Our workshop on Saturday, October 30, will focus on sessions that will be helpful for families who are new to the diagnosis of Dravet syndrome. Learn about topics you have heard about and get accurate information to help you make confident and appropriate decisions on what will be helpful for your child’s care. Sessions are presented by community experts – including other parents.

Registration is just $25 for all five sessions. Participants in the U.S. and Puerto Rico will receive a registration kit filled with useful materials (one per family, please). Registrants can join live or watch sessions on-demand through Nov. 30, 2021. Attendees can also stop by our virtual exhibit hall for downloadable information from our sponsors.
