2020 DSF Biennial Family & Professional Conference

Join us for DSF’s 4th Biennial Conference in 2020 in collaboration with Cook Children’s Medical Center, Fort Worth, Texas.

This 3-day event is unique in that it is designed to unite all groups committed to improving the lives of those with Dravet syndrome – including families, caregivers, clinicians, researchers and professionals in the pharmaceutical industry. There will be speaker presentations on the latest advances in research as well as sessions with up to date information impacting patient care. This event allows the opportunity to foster new relationships and collaborations, both for families and professionals.

Please note:  No Dravet patients (children or adults) or siblings under 18 are permitted in conference sessions. Sessions are being recorded to share with families and professionals who are unable to attend in person. Adult siblings are welcome to join if they are registered on their own or conference pass sharing with a parent. We recognize that this may make it difficult for some parents or caregivers to attend in person, so please be sure to plan accordingly. We are offering a hospitality suite at our flagship hotel, the Renaissance Worthington Fort Worth (approximately 2 miles from the hospital), for Dravet patients and their caregivers during the day. All community members are welcome at evening social events as well as at the family track sessions on Thursday evening and during the day on Saturday.

Since this important educational event only happens every 2 years, we want to offer an uninterrupted experience for those in attendance, as well as the ability to share recorded sessions with those in our community, both families and professionals, who are unable to attend. Recorded sessions will be available on our website 2-3 weeks after the event. For a more family-friendly educational experience on a smaller scale, we would recommend our Day of Dravet workshops place across the U.S. These one day events have educational sessions in the morning with time for families to connect in the afternoon. Dates for the 2020 Day of Dravet workshops will be posted on our website in July and typically take place between September to December each year.

Presentations from DSF’s 2018 Conference are available at this link.

CME & CNE credits are available for professionals.

In place of printed materials we will offer a free conference app that can be downloaded to your smartphone, tablet or computer, approximately one month before the event. It will allow you to connect with other attendees, view sessions and speakers, as well as share information on social media during the event and receive important updates or last minutes changes in real-time.

We will once again offer conference pass sharing for families. Two parents or a parent and caregiver may share one conference registration if they are taking turns caring for a Dravet child onsite. Only one person per pass will be permitted in sessions at any one time.

Benefits to becoming a sponsor or exhibitor include reaching a wide audience of caregivers and professionals in the field of Dravet syndrome and related epilepsies.
