2018 DSF Biennial Family & Professional Conference
This 3-day event is unique in that it is designed to unite all groups committed to improving the lives of those with Dravet syndrome – including families, caregivers, clinicians, researchers and professionals in the pharmaceutical industry. There will be speaker presentations on the latest advances in research as well as sessions with up to date information impacting patient care. This event allows the opportunity to foster new relationships and collaborations, both for families and professionals.
Please note: No Dravet patients (children or adults) or siblings under 18 are permitted in CME sessions. Adult siblings are welcome to join if they are registered on their own or conference pass sharing with a parent. We recognize that this may make it difficult for some parents or caregivers to attend. We are offering a hospitality suite at the Hyatt (across the street) for Dravet patients and their caregivers during the day. And, all community members are welcome at evening social events as well as the family track sessions on Thursday evening and during the day on Friday.
Since this important educational event only happens every 2 years, we want to offer an uninterrupted experience for those in attendance, as well as the ability to share recorded sessions with those in our community, both families and professionals, who are unable to attend. Recorded sessions will be available on our website 2-3 weeks after the event. For a more family-friendly educational experience on a smaller scale, we would recommend our Day of Dravet workshops place across the U.S. These one day events have educational sessions in the morning with time for families to connect in the afternoon. Dates for the 2018 Day of Dravet workshops will be posted on our website in July and typically take place between September to December each year.
Registration will close on July 6th or when we run out of space. There are a limited number of registrations still available!
A CME program is available for professionals.
In place of printed materials we will offer a free conference app that can be downloaded to your smartphone, tablet or computer (If downloading to your computer, use this link in lieu of your app store: https://crowd.cc/dsfconference2018). It will allow you to connect with other attendees, view sessions and speakers, as well as share information on social media during the event and receive important updates or last minutes changes in real-time. Search in the iTunes or Android stores under “Dravet Syndrome Foundation.”
We will once again offer conference pass sharing for families. Two parents or a parent and caregiver may share one conference registration if they are taking turns caring for a Dravet child onsite. Only one person per pass will be permitted in sessions at any one time.
Benefits to becoming a sponsor or exhibitor include reaching a wide audience of caregivers and professionals in the field of Dravet syndrome and related epilepsies.
