Other Ways to Give
We at the DSF understand that we all want to make a difference in the lives of children with Dravet syndrome and related conditions, but often our time and resources are limited. Below are additional ideas that make it easy for you to be a part of our fundraising team. We realize that no donation is too small and every dollar brings us closer to finding a cure!
Create a Fundraising Page
Encourage your friends and family to donate to the DSF through an online campaign! You can set up a personal page asking family and friends to sponsor you by making a tax-deductible donation to the DSF for your fundraising event, such as a walk/run, in memory of someone, or for a personal occasion such as a birthday or anniversary. Once you create your page, you can log in at any time to edit it or send email updates.
Become a Fan on Facebook
Support Dravet Syndrome Foundation on Facebook and receive updates on upcoming events and research. You can also donate to the DSF through Causes.
Online Auctions
Buy and Sell on eBay and benefit the DSF! You can directly support us when you buy or sell on eBay, with the eBay Giving Works program.
- Buy
- You can find whatever you're looking for on eBay – from baseball cards to new cars and more. When you do, shop for items that benefit us. You can get a great deal and support Dravet syndrome research at the same time!
- Sell
- You can also support the DSF when you sell on eBay. Just designate our organization to receive 10-100% of your final sale price the next time you list something great.
Monthly Giving
DSF's monthly giving program is an affordable and convenient way to donate. To join DSF's monthly giving program, please specify a monthly or quarterly amount on our online donation form, and DSF will automatically deduct the contribution from your credit or debit card. You will receive a monthly acknowledgement via email for your records. You can cancel at any time by notifying us by phone, mail or email.
Tribute and Memorial Gifts
A tribute or memorial gift is a particularly meaningful way to honor or remember family, friends and colleagues. Tribute gifts can be given in honor of individuals or groups at any time, and are particularly popular for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. DSF will prepare an acknowledgment card and deliver it either to you or to the recipient you request. Tribute and Memorial Gifts may be made by check or through our online Donate page.
Corporate Matching Programs
Many companies offer matching gift programs through which they match the charitable contributions made by their employees. Corporate matching gifts can double or sometimes triple your contribution to DSF.
Click here for a list of corporations that offer charitable gift matching or check with your Human Resources department. If your employer offers this benefit, your Human Resources department will be able to provide you with a matching gift form. Complete this form and mail it along with your donation to:

Donate an Auction Items
Here is a way you can help support DSF, without reaching into your wallet. From event tickets to one-of-a-kind vacations, we are always on the look-out for unique, alluring auction items to tempt our guests at our fundraisers. Do you own a vacation home/timeshare, or membership in a golf club or boat club that is the envy of all your friends? Do you have season tickets, perhaps to the Knicks or the Yankees? Do you know someone that people would just love to have lunch with? These and other opportunities make great auction items. Or perhaps you know someone (a jewelry designer, home cleaning service, restaurant owner) who might be willing to provide an auction item to a great cause and receive some free publicity with our guests in return.
Sometimes great auction lots result from a little bit of creativity. A florist might be willing to donate a bouquet of flowers every month for a year. A pianist who is willing to donate one hour of her time would be a perfect addition to an in-home cocktail party that includes catering services. The ideas are endless, but you alone might be the missing link to unique items, experiences and adventures!
What we're looking for:
- Vacation home/timeshare stays
- Golf outings
- Gift Certificates
- Memorabilia
- Spa certificates
- Restaurant certificates
- Hotel stays
- Accessories
- Jewelry
- Clothing
- Children's items
- Unique experiences (Chef for a Day, TV Set visit, meet & greets, Backyard Makeover packages, etc.)
Please contact Amanda at Amanda.r@dravetfoundation.org to make a donation or for more information.
