Project Description

Halley Wargo

March 11, 2005 – July 17, 2009

About a year ago I began caring for an amazing 4-year-old little girl, a little girl with sparkling eyes, a joyous laugh, and a smile that could light up a room. Halley became more than a job; she quickly became a best friend and a part of my life. Not only did Halley depend on me, but I depended on her. She was a listening ear when I had a bad day, she would listen and sometimes the conversation would end with an “I You” which meant: “I love you” and that always brought a smile to my face.

Halley taught me about life, no matter how tough it was for her, she smiled and continued on. Not only did Halley make a difference in my life, but her family was also a true blessing. Jaynee, Joe and even little Joey are amazing people, they showed strength and most importantly they had faith, they never gave up, and they never quit.

I was once told that everyone in life has a lesson to teach and Halley was no exception. Even though she was here for only a short time I think it is safe to say that she taught us all how to love unconditionally, smile, and enjoy each beautiful day…
