Please be sure and stop by for a cool treat and raise money for a great cause. A portion of the proceeds during that time frame will benefit the upcoming Dravet Syndrome Foundation Steps Toward a Cure fun walk on September 25 at Charlotte Knight's Stadium.


Manteno Oktoberfest Garage Sale Day
Thursday, September 23 - Saturday, September 25, 2010
Manteno, IL

Sponsored for the second year by Linda Kasal and Linda Sweeney, this charity event will be a benefit sale with all proceeds going to the DSF. Arrangements for donated items to be dropped off or picked up in Illinois or NW Indiana can be made through Mary Anne Meskis.



DSF Steps Toward a Cure National Fundraising Walk
Our yearly walk is a fun, family-friendly event, taking place at various locations across the U.S. including:

  • Lincoln, Rhode Island
  • Schaumburg, Illinois
  • Frisco, Texas
  • Carmi, Illinois
  • Flint, Michigan
  • Hazleton, Pennsylvania
  • Simsbury, Connecticut
  • Tega Cay, South Carolina
  • Buckley, Washington

Dravet Syndrome Foundation Happy Hour

Our inaugural fundraiser was held at The Field Restaurant and Bar in Bridgeport, CT. We would like to thank Mike Rinn for coordinating this event and Brian Zoni, manager of The Field Restaurant and Bar, as well as all of the attendees who made this event a huge success.

This event was hosted by Roberta Berry, grandmother of Tali who has Dravet syndrome. We would like to thank Roberta for planning and hosting this event and all of her friends and family who attended. A special thank you to Carol Marzano who donated all of the proceeds from the event to the DSF.
