Right after the Thanksgiving holiday, Pam Jackson, Amy Stamm and Cheryl Dietrich were sitting around on a Friday night and thought how fun it would be to have a neighborhood Christmas party, but thought—not a lot of people would come. Then they thought of a fundraiser that people would come to! On December 20th , they hosted their 1st Annual Neighborhood Holiday Fundraiser Party to support their 9 year old neighbor, Justin Parsons, who suffers from Dravet syndrome.
They had a pig roast (food was donated by neighbors and Manero’s Restaurant), raffle prizes (donated by local restaurants, stores and neighbors), 50/50 raffle and a golf cart parade with Justin leading the way. It was a great time had by all.
They were able to raise $2,000 for the Dravet Syndrome Foundation, in honor of Justin Parsons, who makes them laugh, cry and brightens their lives every day.
